My Medical Background
Trained at the University of Manchester, I’ve worked as a GP both in the U.K. and Australia with 20 years of clinical experience. As a family physician, I have a wide understanding of health / wellness and medicine, and wish to see more of a patient-centred approach in all aspects of healthcare.
I'm happy to write about most medical specialties. I have particular interests in mental health, chronic and/or complex medical issues, women’s health, patient advocacy and health promotion.
Regarding my writing experience, I’ve previously ghost-written health and medical articles, produced web content on my own site www.dralicelam.com and produced patient information leaflets for my patients, so I understand the need for simple terms without losing the detail.
